Job Description

Position Overview:


The MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) Manager at Alila Hinu Bay will spearhead all MICE & Groups-related sales and event management activities. The role requires a highly organized, results-oriented professional who understands the nuances of luxury hospitality and has a proven ability to develop strategies to attract and manage high-profile MICE & Groups business.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales & Business Development:


·Identify and cultivate new MICE business opportunities through targeted sales strategies in local, GCC, and international markets.


·Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and luxury DMCs to position Alila Hinu Bay as the premier destination for MICE events.


·Develop and execute tactical plans, including promotions, packages, and partnerships, to maximize MICE revenue.


·Represent the resort at trade shows, roadshows, and networking events to promote MICE offerings.


2. Event Planning & Coordination:


·Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, offering customized solutions to create memorable luxury experiences.


·Work closely with internal teams, including operations, F&B, and banquets, to ensure seamless event execution.


·Manage budgets, timelines, and logistics to deliver high-quality events.


3. Client Relationship Management:


·Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.


·Act as the primary point of contact for MICE clients, providing personalized service and support.


4. Market Analysis & Reporting:


·Conduct market research to identify MICE trends, competitive analysis, and new business opportunities.


·Provide regular updates and reports on MICE sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.


5. Brand Representation:


·Ensure all events align with Alila’s luxury brand standards and sustainability principles.


·Showcase the unique selling points of Alila Hinu Bay, including its location, bespoke services, and amenities.



Skills & Qualifications:


·Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.


·Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MICE sales or event management in the luxury hospitality industry.


·Strong network within the MICE, corporate, and luxury travel sectors.


·Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


·Proficiency in sales tools and CRM software.


·Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


·Creativity and problem-solving skills to design innovative solutions for clients.


·Knowledge of Oman’s tourism landscape and Alila’s brand ethos is a plus.
