Masseuse

Based at InterContinental Muscat, A masseuse / therapists evaluate clients by conducting various motion and muscle testing and suggest treatment plans. They ought to have a comprehensive knowledge of various massage modalities, possess a common understanding of body treatments and be eager to train in spa’s specific massage and body healing offerings. They ought to possess outstanding communication skills and be able to learn the product and service awareness essential to efficiently give wellness solutions to meet the needs of guests. They have to hold and maintain a current state license.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: -

• Perform massage /treatments according to the guest preference.
• Coordinate with reception colleagues regarding bookings and availability.
• Create a warm welcoming & friendly atmosphere.
• Be very aware of environment hygiene standards as well as maintain the highest standard in personal hygiene.
• Conducts a number of daily inspections to ensure cleanliness of areas under management, reporting defects and cleanliness issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain Health and Safety aspects of treatment Rooms.
• Ensure all massage equipment is in working order.
• Participate in “product knowledge days” to learn about new product and methods.
• Administer uniformity/consistency in treatments.
• Sell products in line with customer needs.
• Be aware and understand the holistic benefits of all treatments offered.
• Clean up at end of each shift and after servicing each client.
• Apply suggestive retail selling techniques to maximize service and recognize opportunities to sell, add-on sell, and up-sell
• Promote enthusiastically all classes, activities, treatments & services that are offered in Spa & Recreation.

What We need from you:

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, the ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along being quality-oriented with a focus on details, high-performance standards, able to multitask in the Recreation & Health Club & meet deadlines and Committed to serving the guest with the highest quality and you should have Spa Therapist Licensed or Certified.
