Job Description

As part of the IT team of OCI, to lead and provide helpdesk support to the staff within the organization including user requirements and management user support.


Key Deliverables:


  • Undertake internal troubleshooting of all IS issues relatingto hardware andsoftware.
  • Supervise the helpdesk and respond to IS support requests/tickets assigned in a timely manner to ensure minimumdisruption.
  • Gain necessary IS skills to support the latest hardware and software technologyproducts.
  • Provide Hardware/ Software/ managementsupport.
  • Maintain IS inventory both software andhardware.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a regularbasis.
  • Liaise with suppliers and external support companies as requiredfor support andprocurement.
  • You will be responsible for uptime of infrastructure services and their routine monitoring, updating and trouble shooting. (servers, firewall andDR).
  • Provide user support for internet, Wi-Fi requests for allmanagement users and at thehelpdesk.
  • You will be responsible for setting-up/modification of e-mail accounts forusers.
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and handling of all MES related issuesin barcode printers and MES Industrial PC including security of thesame.
  • Assist for all IS related enquiries and follow-ups for themanagement ofOCI
  • You will be Responsible for configuring OCI owned smart phones andtablets.
  • Handle issues related to PABX hardware andsoftware
  • Responsible for co-ordination for the Annual Maintenance ofPCs, plotters, UPS and DataCentre.
  • Responsible for update and maintenance of time managementservers and hardware includingsecurity.
  • Manage all related support, warranty and outsourcedcontract.
  • Responsible for providing branch office support including usersand connectivity.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency of processes and reduction ofcosts.
  • Patch management: push patches and new version of software from the patch server.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a regularbasis.
  • Responsible for print solution and contractmanagement.
  • Responsible to assist the head of the department in formulating the annual budget of the specialized area including user requirements and server related costinputs.
  • Ensure the limits approved in the annual budget are maintainedand adheredto.
  • Responsible for cloud email services and relatedcontracts.
  • Act as second level point of escalation for all IS related queries/ requests including the for the CCTVsystem.
  • Responsible for setting up the IS infrastructure includingmanagement of the same at the conference and board rooms atOCI.
  • Information Security Knowledge – ISO 27001 Framework, NIST, GRC
  • Cybersecurity – VAPT, Cyber Hygiene
  • Cloud Computing – Azure, AWS


Qualifications:


  • Graduate in Computer Science/ InformationTechnology.
  • IT certification preferred (Azure, MCSE, CCNA).

Skills/Knowledge:


  • Excellent communication skills with businessusers
  • Ability to perform root causeanalysis
  • Knowledge of server and network securitysystems, applications, procedures, andtechniques.
  • Excellent communication skills inEnglish.
  • Relationship managementskills.
  • Ability to take timely actions anddecisions.
  • Knowledge ofERP
  • Excellent contractor managementskills
  • Excellent coordination between internal and externalteams
  • Ability to prioritizetasks
  • Excellent leadership and project managementskills.

Experience:


  • 6-8 years of experience of similar work in relatedindustries.

Business Understanding:


  • Good understanding of the overall IS operations isessential.
  • Understanding of the organizational structure ismandatory.
  • Knowledge about standard practices inmanufacturing business including general policies andprocedures.
