Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of House Cook and Cleaner a private house in Oman. This role combines culinary skills with household cleaning duties, ensuring that the residence is maintained in a clean, organized, and hygienic state while preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the family or household members.
Key Responsibilities:Cooking Duties:- Meal Planning & Preparation:
- Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious, and appetizing meals based on household preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
- Prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and snacks as required.
- Ensure a variety of cuisines are offered while maintaining freshness and flavor.
- Prepare and cook special meals for events, parties, or holidays.
- Ensure proper food safety and hygiene standards during meal preparation and storage.
- Grocery Shopping & Inventory Management:
- Create grocery lists based on meal plans and ensure ingredients are always available.
- Purchase groceries and other kitchen supplies, keeping within a specified budget.
- Organize and store ingredients appropriately to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring all utensils, cookware, and appliances are cleaned and stored properly.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and appliances regularly.
- Ensure that the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Cleaning Duties:General Cleaning:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in all areas of the home, including living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and clean all surfaces and furniture.
- Ensure that all rooms are neat and presentable at all times.
Deep Cleaning:
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks as required (e.g., cleaning behind furniture, window washing, carpet cleaning, etc.).
- Ensure that bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas are thoroughly sanitized.
Laundry & Linen Care:
- Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes, linens, and towels.
- Ensure that laundry is done on time, with proper care taken for delicate items.
- Change bed linens and towels regularly.
Waste Management:
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Sort and dispose of recyclables according to local guidelines.
Additional Duties:- Organizing & Tidying:
- Keep the household organized by ensuring that personal items are stored correctly.
- Help with sorting and organizing closets, storage areas, or any other areas that may require tidying.
- Errands:
- Run errands as needed (e.g., picking up dry cleaning, purchasing additional household items, etc.).
- Occasional Assistance:
- Assist with hosting events or gatherings as needed, including food preparation, setting up, and cleaning up afterward.
Skills & Qualifications:- Experience:
- Proven experience as a house cook and cleaner or in similar roles (e.g., private household, restaurant kitchen).
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.).
- Cooking Skills:
- Ability to prepare a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts.
- Experience in handling kitchen equipment, cooking tools, and safe food practices.
- Cleaning Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Familiarity with various cleaning supplies, tools, and techniques.
- Communication:
- Good communication skills, especially with the household members and any other staff.
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing household needs.
- Time Management:
- Ability to efficiently balance both cooking and cleaning duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Flexibility:
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, especially when special meals or events are planned.
- Physical Stamina:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
Working Conditions:- Work Hours:
- Typically [e.g., 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week], but may require flexibility to accommodate special occasions or events.

- Work will be carried out in a private residence, requiring discretion and professionalism at all times.
