The project:


A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility.  Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.


Accountable for translating the group wellbeing strategy and objectives into practical cost effective and efficient health and wellbeing programmes across the group, including developing and providing guidance, standards and activities.


Responsible for developing and agreeing an annual health and wellbeing delivery plan to meet the Mace strategy and objectives within the group business, and health and wellbeing strategies.


Provides support, input and expertise where required on local business delivery plans.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Influences and promotes the Mace culture in relation to health and wellbeing.


  • Accountable for influencing, building, maintaining, and strengthening internal and external stakeholder relationships and where applicable, lead and develop teams.


  • Monitors and reports on performance and provide advice, guidance and expertise as needed.


  • Drives change through communication, persuasion, engagement and innovation.


  • Key contributor to the development and execution of the groupwide health and wellbeing strategy.


  • Responsible for execution of groupwide delivery plans, programmes and projects ensuring delivery to planned time and budget.


  • Provides expertise and support to the operational business to enable local delivery.


  • Delivers continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned.


  • Drives transformational change.


  • Collaborates with the HR and HSW functions to enable them to support their clients across all groups and geographies.


  • Responsible for assuring the identification of risks relating to health and wellbeing are assessed, managed, and mitigated.


  • Acts as a thought leader in developing health and wellbeing initiatives across the business, identifying new pathways and programmes for health and wellbeing, and evolving digital technologies.


  • Engages with and influences identified business and industry stakeholders.


  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You’ll need to have:


  • Relevant degree qualification.


  • Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.


  • Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.


You’ll also have:


  • Experience and knowledge of health and wellbeing legislation and delivery in a large organisation.


  • Current health and wellbeing issues and trends and how they impact on large organisations including forward-looking trends, challenges and opportunities.


  • Risk management and mitigation work in relation to health and wellbeing/people risk.


  • Assessing competency of team members, applying their competence to the right roles and create development plans.


  • Understanding of enterprise and project management.


  • Being able to present a range of technical information to non-technical audiences.


  • Business planning and budgetary control skills, strong commercial acumen.


  • Being able to network and share information and knowledge gleaned.


  • Understanding and application of intersection between health and wellbeing, inclusion, and HSW.


  • Professional membership or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.


  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.


  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.


  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.


  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.


  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
