The project:  


A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility. Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development. 


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Conducting a review of current governance under the programme and assess for gaps and improvements to the programme governance.


  • Supporting in the review and development of programme-wide processes and procedures to ensure consistency of approach concerning governance and assurance requirements by project teams.


  • Developing an independent assurance programme that will assess and monitor the project team’s performance in discharging their delegated responsibilities under the delivery contracts in accordance with contract terms.


  • Developing a programme to manage and assure all programme stakeholders are identified.


  • Supporting stakeholder engagement at a programme level as required by the stakeholder management plan.


  • Providing independent assurance that the project teams are undertaking their stakeholder management duties in line with the project-level stakeholder management plans and providing appropriate feedback at a programme level.


  • Assure project-level stakeholder management is undertaken consistently and where appropriate coordinate and lead stakeholder engagement at a programme level in support of the projects.


  • Developing a robust programme governance regime comprising of policies, processes and procedures. The programme procedures shall align and comply with the established standards, policies, processes and procedures and enable the programme to discharge its obligations thereunder efficiently and effectively.


  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You’ll need to have:


  • Relevant degree qualification.


  • Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.


  • Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.


You’ll also have:


  • Professional membership or working towards demonstrable professional or personal development.


  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.


  • Knowledge of governance, policies and procedures.


  • Programme management expertise.


  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.


  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.


  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.


  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
