Job Description

We are currently seeking for young, dynamic, self motivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist to organize and direct a team that develops top quality of food & beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalized service. As a Chief Steward you are responsible to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY


  • Provide functional assistance and direction and be responsible for the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation
  • Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operation and costs
  • Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of product and services
  • Check more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories
  • Coordinate with the Stewarding Manager in establishing minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition
  • Co-ordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day
  • Maintain health inspection record, attendance record and file on casual employees
  • Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


  • Bachelor's degree and/or diploma
  • A food handler's certificate.
  • Proven stewarding experience.
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills.
