Job Description

Our client, a fast-growing digital solutions company, is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to transform Figma designs into functional WordPress websites. This role focuses on building sites, creating custom widgets and plugins, and delivering high-quality, user-friendly web experiences. Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST


Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development: Build and develop WordPress websites based on provided Figma designs, ensuring they are responsive, functional, and user-friendly.


  • Custom Development: Create custom widgets and plugins tailored to specific client requirements to enhance site functionality and user experience.


  • Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in PHP to ensure the maintainability and scalability of WordPress sites.


  • Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the smooth operation of WordPress sites.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with project goals.


  • Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest WordPress developments and implement best practices in web development and coding standards.

Qualifications

Experience


  • 3+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role.


  • Proven experience with custom widget and plugin development is highly preferred.


Skills


  • Proficiency in WordPress and PHP, with a strong understanding of WordPress architecture.


  • Experience converting Figma designs into WordPress websites.


  • Knowledge of web development standards, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot WordPress sites effectively.


  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
