Job Summary/Main Purpose


Country Manager – the role holder is responsible to manage and lead all operations within a country, ensure day-to-day management to maintain a continued alignment with overall company policy, strategy and direction. Develop business and increase profitability and achieve market share of the company's affiliate. Implement and develop business strategies to ensure alignment with Julphar objectives. Responsible to secure and increase the category wise Sales volume, achieve market share and sales top line & bottom line to drive budget along with growth.


Overall responsibility for identification of emerging risks in the market, ensuring compliance with Julphar policies and applicable industry standards, laws and regulations, and building a "Tone at the Top" that reinforces integrity, ethical values and compliance.


The Country Manager is responsible for the launch, development and management of a product range, from production through to marketing in foreign distribution networks.


The role holder should be a Master of Business Acumen & operations management and having a strategic imperative to foresee the market projections, under the guidance of CCO , (Country Director) the person is responsible to implement CRM initiatives, do market intelligence to recommend future product categories and new molecules which are touted to be successful in coming years.


Country Manager will develop the market, by sourcing, screening, and evaluating new customers, maintaining the loyal customers of Julphar ensure proper implementation of strategy according to the policies and professional ethics.


Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas


Business Leadership


• Implementing the strategy In Alignement with the Global creating a competitive strategy


• Act as the point of contact between the Country Director and the Representative Agent in the country.


• Manage overall day-to-day operations within a country which involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash, quality targets and country Inventory management; ensuring products availability


• The position also requires making decisions regarding improving efficiency of operations. Familiar with variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures, relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan, and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks, leads and directs the work of others.


• To ensure the operation is running efficiently; maintain a continued alignment with overall company policy, strategy and direction.


• Analyse country sales statistics to determine business growth potential, report and develop plan of action to align with the core Business strategy.


• Ensure that a sales force business plan exists and is put into effect, actively monitor key performance indicators and ensure field force effectiveness.


• Manage key customer relationship and actively develop new business opportunities, Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers including the country /area distributors /agents and key customers, eminent and strategic partners.


• Responsible for continuing to build collaborative partnerships and alliances between the Company and its stakeholders including government & relevant authorities


• Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for Julphar.


• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements for storing and handling of products, and other items subject to government regulations


• Responsible to monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities for market intelligence and trends


• Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all the area, product lines, promotional materials, and events.


• Implement Company’s standard policies and procedures and acts as a role-model to all employees


• Interact with regulatory agencies to obtain timely approval of pending petitions, applications and actions.


• Plan strategically for the regulatory submission for the new products.


• Monitor performance of the personnel and to conduct effective Performance Appraisal as per Company policies


Strategic Management


• Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.


• Should be in the forefront to lead the income generation, set targets and work across the organization to manage the delivery of commercial benefits.


• Develop annual business plans and monitor through regular Business reviews.


• Forecast accurately annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.


• Develop inventory control systems and establish procurement plans, develop and manage efficient distribution networks for sales achievement


• Utilize business intelligence tools to provide sales insights to marketing and sales staff


• Ensure collaboration, coaching and motivation of working team to achieve budget goals and outputs for the assigned territory


• Ensure proper implementation of all Marketing Activities by active planning, monitoring of existing sales team, ensure CRM implementation and achievement


People Leadership


• Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to the needs of the Organization in coordination with HR and training.


• Drive the Sales Managers through objectives, managing Top Line sales performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved.


• Define an optimum organization structure so that resources are optimally utilized and communications can be executed in an efficient manner


• Build, encourage and motivate team and assess performance to ensure proper working capital management and improve employee engagement and develop a high performance culture.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established deadlines


Qualifications & Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)


• 4 years Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceuticals, Business, Marketing, or related field.


• Master in Business Administration is preferred.
