About the Project

InnovX aims to produce 3 million tons of green ammonia annually by 2032, mobilizing significant investment in long-term capacity building in green hydrogen technologies and production processes.

The program comprises 2 main projects:

Jorf Lasfar (JH2P) is a test plant comprising 3 different Green H2 technologies to produce 100 kta Green NH3. This project will be adjacent to existing facilities making use of existing infrastructure (brownfield OSBL).

Tarfaya has been selected as the location for their major PtX project. The Tarfaya Green Ammonia (TGA) project aims to produce 1 Mta of Green NH3 by 2027 and 3 Mta of Green NH3 by 2032. This project includes the full scope of a large scale PtX project including all infrastructure, port and desalination.

The program will include multiple contracting strategies for different scopes of works, e.g. EPCm, EPF, LS EPC packages. The JESA JV in Morocco will lead this program with Worley being fully integrated in the execution strategy.

About the job

We’re looking for a Construction Director to join our project team in Jorf, Morocco.

As a Construction Director, you will be responsible for driving successful project outcomes at all project stages starting from Pre-FEED through to FEED, Detail Design, Execution and Commissioning for EPC /EPCM type contracts to support Worley’s continual growth in the Energy market.

What you’ll do

• Prioritize the safety, health, and wellbeing of ourselves and others. Choose what is right over what is quick or easy.

• Liaise with Worley Global Construction Delivery Group Directorate to leverage access to Global Best Practice and promote Standardisation of Project Delivery.
• Actively participate in team selection and appointment of key positions on the project.
• Develop strong customer relationships by active participation in customer stewardship meetings ensuring continuous improvement.
• Cross-functional liaison with the Project Delivery team(s), Project Controls, Commercial and Supply Chain Management to ensure collaborative working and implementation of ‘Right to Left’ thinking for a successful delivery of the project.
• Network with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to access latest innovations in cross functional areas of project delivery, building collaborative teams and solutions.
• Seek opportunities for themselves and others to learn, develop and stretch into new experiences. Inspire innovation by sharing their experience and know-how.
• Execute a large scale greenfield project, tying back to brownfield infrastructure and oversee construction interface.

What you’ll have

• Extensive international project delivery/project governance experience, including major projects.
• Experience of successfully engaging with clients, senior internal management, and other key stakeholders. Seeks new and diverse relationships that bring smarter solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in all commercial contracting models/risk profiles and project scopes/phases (FEL/EPC/EPCM/PMC & Lump Sum/Fixed Price/Target Price/Reimbursable, etc) and the ability to mitigate risks effectively through positive decision making.
• Motivational leadership style with very strong communication skills and the ability to develop high performance culture. Sophisticated internal consulting capability, including the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience in achieving results and targets, meeting timelines, pushing to achieve stretch goals, and demonstrating enthusiasm, persistence, and tenacity.
• Ability to deal with new concepts and complexity comfortably with a vision to the changes in technological advancements.

This role will be based in the JESA Casablanca office on a residential basis or with rotation to home location on an agreed basis.The successful individual will need to be comfortable with spending regular periods of time in a new location.

The project will be executed in a fast-paced environment with considerable variability in methods of delivery and demands to respond quickly. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible and adaptable approach to the project delivery.
