Our mission is to help more people to hear.Our EMEA Africa Team is currently looking for Clinical Technical & Business Development Specialist (Fr Sub Saharan Africa) as a field-based role. The Clinical Technical & Business Development Specialist is responsible forproviding a high level of clinical and technical training and support on our products,contributing to account managementThe position is responsible to work closely with the Business Partner within the designated geographic territory, Fr. Sub Saharan Africa to ensure the cost-effective penetration and development of markets for Cochlear devices (CI Systems, Upgrades, Accessories and Acoustics) servicing the hearing-impaired population.The position thereby provides input to and implements the overall sales strategy and specific business plans, managing the day-to-day sales activities. Key to success for the position is to develop the market by ensuring the acceptance of Cochlear Nucleus® products in the market as a viable treatment for both adults and children and by achieving reimbursement or alternative funding for all products in the territory, whereas all activities should increase the revenues and profits in the designated area.The position is a team member of the French Speaking Africa team and works alongside with and supports business partner in the Fr. Sub Saharan Africa.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for business development/market penetration activities of the sales area.Responsible for developing and maintaining the business and customer relationships.Providing clinical expertise, technical and product support and enhance the customer experience aligned to territory sales strategies.Working to resolve difficult problems producing solutions which improve the established procedure/process.Supporting the distributor in clinical/ technical matters or promotional events. Supporting hearing centers and similar institutions in understanding and applying Cochlear’s recommendations regarding a successful treatment of patients at all stages required to obtain the best possible outcomes with Cochlear Implants products. Performing software installations and provide ongoing information and training on software, programming and Cochlear’s products to achieve and maintain the highest level of knowledge by customers (e.g. doctors, audiologist, and patients). Visiting audiology departments and other key stakeholders on a regular basis.Setup and manage the distribution network in Fr.Sub Saharan Africa of Nucleus products.Active and passive participation in national, regional, and international congresses and workshops. Providing on-site support, audiological and surgical training, or any other required technical support in connection with Cochlear Implant products. All this in alignment with the Clinical Technical Manager and the Area Business Manager FSA. Supporting clinics to start Cochlear Implant programs by using well established models from experienced clinics. Ensuring application of the quality standards of Cochlear Academy as well as the existing processes of Cochlear Academy and Cochlear Europe. Continuously improving Cochlear Implants Services in alignment with the Cochlear quality system regulations. Assisting clinics to obtain a sufficient number of patients in relation to the capacity of the clinic by actively maintaining contacts with and organizing meetings for ENT doctors, pediatricians, and targeted general practitioners in close collaboration with Cochlear’s Distributor in the territory. Establishing an efficient collaboration with our partners and supporting relevant healthcare providers throughout the territory to ensure that the increasing patient base is fully and professionally served, i.e. spare parts and repairs.Key requirements:Required Skills University degree in Business Administration or Medical/Biological field (e.g. Bioengineering).Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in ENT field and/or implantable medical devices sector.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the designated territory. (Africa)Knowledge about healthcare reimbursement system(s) in the designated territory.Advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline.Excellent problem-solving skills to ensure business success, despite obstacles.Strong presentation skills. Developing ability to connect customer concept with a solution.Communicates effectively and persuasively.
