AUTOMATION ENGINEER
For the new tobacco factory in TETOUAN, we are looking for an Automation Engineer to manage assigned Capex projects, ensuring the fulfillment of definition, planning, and implementation phases, while communicating effectively with all relevant parties. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical standards, CAPEX management policies, and procedures. This role will involve introducing new technologies to the factory to establish a competitive level of quality and cost efficiency.
Additionally, the Automation Engineer will support engineering technical staff, handle production and QC equipment modifications, and work on improvements to ensure product quality consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations at optimal cost, all while complying with company standards.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will ensure that all projects are completed within budget and schedule, in accordance with JTI standards of quality and EHS measures. You will coordinate with outside engineering services, contractors, and equipment vendors to implement projects. Additionally, you will provide coaching to the Technical Services group to improve the performance of subordinates and manage investments in full communication with the requester department. You will ensure that all projects comply with technical standards and CAPEX management policies and procedures, while gathering financial information, evaluating, and maintaining proper data availability on project progress.
You will assist in the implementation, improvement, and documentation of management systems (ISO 9002 and 14001). You will ensure full compliance of all project activities (carried out by JTI personnel or contractors) with EHS initiatives and standards.
You will support production and QC in defining and implementing the optimum maintenance program, coordinating with global functions and third parties. You will maintain a high level of technical expertise within the team and adapt global engineering, factory, and regional initiatives and best practices to improve factory performance.
You will prepare specifications and scopes of work for Business Approval Process (BAP) purposes or project developments. You will also be responsible for creating BAP documents in the intranet system.
EDUCATION
B.SC. Degree in Engineering - Electric & Electronic Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer or Automation engineer.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Past Experience in similar field is recommended.
