Job Description
This position is responsible for providing project management support, ensuring adherence to project management standards, and overseeing the progress of various projects to achieve business goals. The PMO will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight:
- Support the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor project performance, track milestones, and report on progress to senior management.
- Identify project risks and issues, and work with project managers to develop mitigation strategies.
- Methodology and Standards:
- Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices.
- Ensure consistency in project management processes and documentation across all projects.
- Develop and enforce project management guidelines, standards, and templates.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and issue logs.
- Facilitate project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technical, operational, and business units, to ensure project success.
- Address stakeholder concerns and expectations in a timely and professional manner.
- Resource Management:
- Assist in the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure project needs are met.
- Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, IT engineering or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Telecom, ISP, with at least 3 years in a PMO or leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex telecommunications projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project,....).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
