Material Planner

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the production planner and Procurement Specialist with specifying the materials required against each finished good, as well as creating and recording supporting technical documents.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure 100% RPM availability for production all the time with Zero % production downtime due to materials unavailability.
• Review, determine, and maintain inventory at optimal levels to support company goals
• Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders.
• Ensure cost-efficient materials which meet specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
• Track production actuals and monitor future production demand patterns and purchasing requirements.
• Schedule and oversee the supply and on time delivery of materials.
• Liaise with suppliers, distributors, and logistics department.
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
• Prepare cost estimates and performance reports.
• Maintain supplier schedule performance.

Preferred Candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
