Job Description

We are in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Financial Director to lead our financial operations at a prominent clothing and home accessories retail company with 25 locations across Libya, headquartered in Tripoli. This leadership role is essential for driving financial strategy, overseeing the implementation of ERP systems, and managing a high-performing financial department. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in financial management and a deep understanding of the retail industry.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the financial planning and analysis process to support business objectives.
  2. Oversee the implementation and optimization of ERP systems to enhance financial reporting and operations.
  3. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide strategic decision-making.
  4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies across all locations.
  5. Create and maintain financial reports that provide insights into performance and areas for improvement.
  6. Manage and mentor the financial department, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive profitability.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  9. Present financial results and strategic recommendations to the executive team and stakeholders.


Preferred Candidate:

  1. Extensive experience in financial leadership roles within the retail sector.
  2. Strong expertise in ERP implementation and management.
  3. Proven ability to create, manage, and lead a financial department effectively.
  4. Possession of CPA or CMA certification is required.
  5. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  8. Demonstrated success in driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
