Technical Content Writer /Editor - Lebanon



Description of Duties



As a Technical Content Writer /Editor you will be responsible for drafting the monthly reports and thematic reports and to review all the content creation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop clear, concise, and accurate narratives that effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. You will be under the supervision of iMMAP Inc. HIST Project Manager for Lebanon.
More specifically, you will:
Draft Reports: You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing technical information from various sources to create comprehensive reports. These reports will provide detailed insights, analysis, and recommendations on Lebanon's humanitarian crisis. Content Creation: Collaborate with iMMAP Inc. project team to develop original and engaging content. Your content should be well-structured, logical, and accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. Quality Review: Conduct thorough reviews of all content created by the team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines. You will verify the soundness of the quality narrative, ensuring that the content reflects the highest standards of professionalism. Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread written materials to identify and correct grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors. You will ensure that all content is free from spelling mistakes, ambiguous language, and any other issues that may impact its clarity or credibility. Research and Analysis: Stay updated on relevant topics to enhance the accuracy and relevance of the content produced. You will conduct thorough research and analysis to support the development of high-quality, data-driven content. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with iMMAP Inc. team to understand project requirements and ensure alignment of content with broader objectives. You will actively participate in meetings and discussions to gather insights and provide feedback on content strategies. Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance writing skills, industry knowledge, and technical expertise. You will stay informed about best practices in technical writing and content creation to improve the overall quality of our deliverables.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related discipline. Proven experience as a Technical Content Writer or Editor, preferably in a humanitarian context. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to diverse audiences. Proficiency in using various content creation tools and software. Familiarity with style guides, formatting standards, and writing conventions. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on prioritization and task completion. Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
