Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position at our General Engineering Consultancy in Beirut, Lebanon, is a pivotal role that requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
2. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
3. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis as needed.
5. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in tax preparation and filing.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
7. Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
8. Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
9. Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
