Responsible for developing new product formulations and improving existing ones.
Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group Policies and Procedures.
On Formulation
- Develop new formulations by investigating API characteristics, availability, safety, compatibility with other ingredients and sourcing ingredients; perform needed testing, conduct scale up studies and prepare New Product Development Report
- Improve existing product performance characteristics by investigating each API & finished products characteristics and researching viability, safety and compatibility of ingredients and formulas
- Provide support and assist analytical and regulatory teams; work with quality control and production teams to manage formulation issues, update batch instructions and review documentation in order to improve product quality
- Assist the Production team in the first three batches produced (in both manufacturing and packaging department)
- Assist with finished product stability testing
- Assist with reviewing raw material and finished product test results when necessary
- Collect data by maintaining research notebooks with accurate notes, conclusions and records
- Report to R&D Manager any deviation along with valid solutions and recommendations
- Prepare and review R&D quality documents & SOP Specifications
- Keep R&D pharmaceutical sample inventory
- Investigate troubleshooting during production phase and suggest solutions within limited a time frame
- Conduct process validation and issue validation report
