The Position

The Opportunity:
Enhance patient engagement and support the development of programs that improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare experiences, through fostering strong relationships with PAGs, understanding patient needs, and ensuring that the voices of patients are integrated into the organization's strategies.
In terms of external communication, the role is essential in building and maintaining a positive public image, enhancing the organization’s reputation, and effectively conveying key information to stakeholders, including media, partners, clients, and the general public. As for internal communication, the person is responsible for managing and enhancing solid communications channels to maintain strong internal engagement in collaboration with other functions.


Main Responsibilities:
- Engage and maintain relationships with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) across the Levant and therapeutic areas to understand their needs and priorities and foster long, productive and value-added partnerships with these groups.
- Build the PAGs capabilities in areas that can empower them and help them become more efficient and impactful so they can better serve the patients in their communities – individual, organizational and policy capabilities.
- Work closely with the governments (Ministries of Public Health) and large institutions in pursuing collaborative solutions and diagnosing main gaps in disease awareness and disease management.
- Design and implement, jointly with the MOH, national projects related to disease awareness , evaluation studies of current screening status and assessment of healthcare management.
- Drive the social media strategy and understand its use as a tool to engage stakeholders, enhance visibility, and foster meaningful interactions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and drive positive media coverage on the company through proactive media relations programs.
- Drive media activities – disease awareness sessions and other education/capability building  initiatives.
- Enhance, communicate about Roche brand via internal and external communications, public relations, employee engagements.
- Create fit-for-purpose communications, including writing and editing of content for (materials, town halls, video scripts/messages, briefings, fact sheets, instructional guides, intranet pages/stories, talking points for leaders, presentations, pitches, and events).


Who You Are:


Qualification and Experience:
- University degree and above in Journalism/Communications/Public Relations; A Pharmacy degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a corporate environment, including at least 3 years of experience in a relevant role. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge in Media Relationships.


Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; in both Arabic and English languages (Verbal and Written).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand individual needs and motivation, and interact with decision makers.
- Strong ability to influence and inspire through impactful communication.
- Public speaking and presenting to large audiences.
- Proven experience in managing campaigns or projects.
- Ability to lead without authority. Great sense of urgency and prioritization.
