Search is seeking an experienced notetaker with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attributes to support the Empowering Civil Society Program.About the Assignment
- Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is seeking an experienced notetaker with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attributes to support the Empowering Civil Society Program. The notetaker will accompany facilitators during the activities, making sure all information is well noted, archived, and organized, and returning to facilitators if there are any gaps and questions regarding the content and format of information. One of the objectives of the Empowering Diverse Civil Society Actors project is to support an existing network of civil society actors in the region, which connects over 800 members on an online platform. The project builds on the learnings from previous years of implementation by certain organizations, fostering safe, inclusive, and collaborative engagement for diverse civil society actors. This platform, led by women, facilitates discussions among civil society actors on the following:
- Promoting social cohesion between communities through regular thematic dialogues.
- Improving aid effectiveness through dialogue processes with civil society.
- Ensuring that grassroots voices are heard by the international community
Consultancy Summary
- The Notetaker will perform the following tasks:
1) Attendance and Participation in activities/sessions:Attend designated sessions with the respective facilitators at the identified time.
2) Note-taking, reviewing, and development Faithfully writing all verbal communications in a notetaking file Clean and organize file to ensure accuracy and consistency Identify suitable note-taking tools to facilitate the note-taking process
3) CommunicationMaintain clear communication with the technical support team regarding challenges related to internet connection, technical issues, digital safety concerns, etc. to ensure the documentation of the sessions probably.
Communicate with facilitators to ensure proper efficiency and faithfulness of information
Provide recommendations for further improvements of the note taking processNote: the documents need to be available in Arabic Timeline
- The consultancy will start in December 2024 and will end in September 2025 .
Requirements & qualifications
- The consultant should have the following expertise and qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge in note-taking and developing notetaking reports
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of written arabic
- Excellent knowledge and experience in developing notetaking reports
- Significant professional experience working with Arabic-speaking participants
- Experience working with and providing technical support to civil society organizations
- Experience in working on the MENA context
