Mechanical Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical projects related to LPG/LNG/CNG projects and facilities. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle from inception through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, and industrial contracting, specifically in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure all project activities comply with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Team Coordination: Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including, contractors, and subcontractors. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.

Resource Management: Manage procurement and allocation of materials and equipment.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery of project objectives. Prepare regular reports and manage cost variations.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client specifications. Conduct site inspections, supervise installations, and oversee commissioning activities.

Project Closeout: Manage project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and handover documentation. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical project management, preferably in industrial contracting and LPG or oil and gas facilities.

Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).

PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

The role may require travel to various project sites.

Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.

May require extended hours during project peaks.
