Job Description

  • Ensures the sales team attains the set sales, coverage, distribution and visibility targets, thus enabling the company to meet its profitability objectives
  • Allocates targets on team members based on objectives assigned by the KA Manager.
  • Assigns routes to team members to ensure that objectives are met efficiently on time.
  • Spends most of his time in the field to support and coach the team on implementing the sales fundamentals (Supervise sales activities within assigned areas to ensure sales, distribution, and visibility targets are met).
  • Maintains a healthy relationship with key clients.
  • Coaches and trains his/her assigned sales team to ensure ongoing development and improvement of their capability and skills.
  • Follows-up with Key Accounts Sales Representative to ensure all outstanding payments are collected in a timely manner and matching the statement of account.
  • Reports competitions' activities and performance and other relevant information to the key Accounts Manager.
  • Prepares monthly, weekly and daily sales analysis reports as well as other types of sales reports as and when required in order to evaluate sales results to increase productivity in sales and recommend corrective actions for any anomalies if they occur.
  • Motivates Key Accounts sales representatives to ensure they meet their set targets.
  • Monitors the results on a daily basis to resolve issues as soon as they occur
  • Monitors the customer stock cards to make sure to avoid any overstocking situation as well as maintaining a healthy check on stock aging so as to take corrective measures.
  • Makes sure that the routes are properly maintained and updated
  • Ensures the effective execution of promotional and special marketing events.
  • Maintains an updated file on all contracts signed with assigned clients (where applicable) and makes sure that company contracted benefits are attained.
  • Prepares a business review report quarterly for all customers to ensure they meet their set targets
  • Ensures trade and marketing activities are planned and executed within agreed allocated budgets
  • Responsible for assigning routes as well as sales and distribution targets to subordinates
