About the job HSE Manager
Our client, a multinational company is seeking a Health and safety manager in Lebanon who will be ensuring a safe and compliant working environment within the company. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, update, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and industry trends.
Training and Awareness:
- Design and deliver health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
Incident Management:
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety inspections.
Safety Audits and Inspections:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Develop and oversee corrective action plans based on audit findings.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct drills and ensure preparedness for potential emergencies or disasters.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on health and safety performance, incidents, and compliance to senior management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to health and safety matters.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health and safety management in manufacturing company
- Knowledge/experience on operations of Industrial activities
- Proficiency in using safety management software, conducting risk assessments, and familiarity with safety-related equipment.
