Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accountant/Auditor to oversee accounting and financial reporting functions for our clients in Abidjan. This role ensures full compliance with best accounting standards and organizational policies implemented by our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up client expectations, managing client accounting teams, implementing changes to current practices in order to meet international accounting practices, scheduling visits for regular audit, training of client’s accounting team, and preparing financial statements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Implement changes to accounting policies and best practices.
  • Plan and schedule visits, provide training, and guide clients on financial compliance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and ensure adherence to international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Manage internal controls, asset management, exchange rates, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data, finalize reports, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Utilize financial software and advanced Excel tools for reporting and analysis.


Skills

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA or equivalent highly preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
  • Proven experience in senior accounting or auditing roles with expertise in trading, construction, production, and asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and final financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Precise experience in accounting for various industries (Trading, Construction, Manufacturing and production) is required.
