We are seeking a professional and organized Cashier Supervisor to join our team in Mozambique, Mozambique. The ideal candidate will oversee cashier operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain efficient cash handling procedures in our retail environment.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cashiers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Train and mentor new cashiers, providing ongoing support and guidance
- Monitor cash drawer balances and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy
- Resolve customer complaints and address complex transaction issues
- Assist in implementing loss prevention strategies and inventory control measures
- Collaborate with management to optimize cashier scheduling and workflow
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with cash office duties, including preparing bank deposits and reconciling daily sales
- Implement and maintain high standards of customer service throughout the cashier team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience as a cashier, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience in retail or a related field
- Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory management and loss prevention techniques
- Understanding of retail operations and cash management procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Additional retail management certifications are preferred
