Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Business Development & Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this dual-focused role, you will be responsible for growing the agency's business through proactive marketing initiatives while also responding to RFPs and developing compelling proposals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills who can effectively position our agency's capabilities to potential clients and maintain our strong brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Agency Brand Management and Uplift
- Maintain and evolve the agency's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to enhance agency positioning
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand differentiation
Content Creation and Distribution
- Create compelling articles, case studies, and thought leadership pieces that showcase agency expertise
- Develop content calendars and distribution strategies across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to produce valuable industry insights
Events Management
- Plan and execute agency participation in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Organize and manage internal events, workshops, and client appreciation functions
- Measure and report on event ROI and lead generation performance
Internal Communications
- Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep team members informed and engaged
- Create regular updates on agency achievements, upcoming opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Support leadership in communicating vision, values, and organizational changes
Talent Communications and Programs Marketing
- Work with HR to promote employment brand and recruitment initiatives
- Create marketing materials for professional development programs
- Highlight employee success stories and agency culture through various channels
Proposal Development and RFP Responses
- Lead the development of compelling proposal documents and pitch decks
- Coordinate inputs from various departments to respond to RFPs effectively
- Customize presentation materials to address specific client needs and requirements
- Develop a systematic approach to managing the RFP response process
Newsletter and Email Marketing
- Design and implement engaging email marketing campaigns targeting prospects and clients
- Produce regular agency newsletters highlighting services, case studies, and thought leadership
- Analyze email performance metrics and optimize campaigns accordingly
SEO Presence
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve agency visibility in search results
- Conduct keyword research relevant to agency services and target audiences
- Collaborate with website team to implement SEO best practices
- Monitor and report on website analytics and search performance
Community Management
- Manage agency presence across social media platforms and WhatsApp groups
- Develop engaging social content that reflects agency culture and expertise
- Monitor and respond to online engagement, fostering meaningful conversations
- Build and nurture relationships with industry influencers and partners
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or agency environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with proposal development and RFP responses
- Proficiency with social media platforms and content management systems
- Strong project management abilities and attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience marketing professional services or working within an agency setting
- Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing best practices
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and analytics tools
- Portfolio demonstrating successful marketing campaigns or content creation
- Experience with graphic design and presentation software
