Job Description

  • Participates in Store budgeting and sales projections.
  • Ensure that monthly and annual sales targets are properly cascaded and achieved.
  • Suggest action plan to improve store top-line and gross margin whenever required.
  • Achieve a profitable sell-through pre-sale and a healthy sell-out post-sale to balance profit and cash flow.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the product line, price ranges and specifications relating to the product. Prepare buying budgets /assortment plan depending on past seasons sales.
  • Travel on buying trips to attend showrooms, meet with suppliers and assist in placing orders; follow up on orders, payments, respect of budget assigned etc.…
  • Negotiate with suppliers operational and commercial related activities such as marketing activities, commercial calendar, margin contribution, rebates, etc.
  • Ensure stock movement is properly applied as per SOP and Improve stock rotation for respective brands. Analyze the sell-through/ sell-out by brand/store regularly, transfer good between stores with Operations team.
  • Oversee merchandising and coordination of stocks, manage their level, review the stock report and take appropriate action through detailed communication with the operations manager and suppliers. Monitor that visual merchandising activities are suitably executed in network of stores as per guidelines. Verify that marketing activities are performed according to marketing plan and assess ROI.
  • Conduct orientation, train & coach staff on execution of daily tasks to maximize efficiency & productivity Actively participate in stock takes and cycle counts, monitor results and apply penalties for discrepancies Effectively manage & control store expenses (Petty cash, supplies, Uniforms etc.)
  • Confirm weekly rosters and verifies adequate implementation to maximize manpower efficiency.
  • Act as the local project manager for smooth preparation and implementation of store opening/ closing Act as coordinator between stores network and back-office for even execution of commercial and operational activities
