The main role of the Transportation Supervisor in passengers’ transportation is
overseeing the daily operations of transportation function ensuring safety and
compliance with regulations. He works closely with drivers to manage schedules and
deliver the highest possible level of service to the customers. The Transportation
Supervisor streamline routes with drivers and minimizes expenditure, whilst
delivering a high level of service, ensuring successful and smooth operations, all in
compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise the transportation operations activities of all assigned projects.
Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and meet safety standards.
Plan Routing and Scheduling and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and timely
deliveries.
Monitor fuel consumption, implement cost-effective fueling strategies, and ensure fuel
efficiency.
Supervise and manage drivers, including training, scheduling, and addressing
performance issues.
Ensure fleet operations comply with relevant regulations, and all fleet vehicles are
properly maintained, serviced, and meet safety standards.
Plan Routing and Scheduling and optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and timely
deliveries.
Analyze data to identify trends, optimize routes and enhance overall transportation
efficiency.
Develop and implement procedures for handling accidents, breakdowns, and other
emergencies.
Oversee activities related to utilization, repair, preventative maintenance and
replacement of the vehicle fleet.
Initiate regular meetings with drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance team members to
discuss ways to meet or exceed corporate revenue goals.
Ensure safety standards within transportation operations and enforcing safety protocols.
Arrange regular safety training for drivers and monitor compliance with safety and traffic
rules and regulations.
Work closely with the maintenance team to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs
or scheduling of routine maintenance.
Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying
current user trends.
Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per various
schedules and requests.
Coordinate project management transportation activities, resources, and related
information.
Maintain sensitive and confidential matters like Employee Relations, grievances
etc.
Address potential risks and maintain a culture of safety awareness to reduce
accident.
Prepare and submit regular reports to Direct Management and maintain an up-
to-date database of all related transportation activities.
Ensure transportation service is provided with the highest quality at all times to
ensure customers satisfaction and efficient operations.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, or equivalent.
A minimum of 6 years of proven work experience in passengers’
transportation and logistics.
Extensive knowledge of the professional and technical standards of
Transportation management.
Analyze data to identify trends, optimize routes and enhance overall
transportation efficiency.
Ability to plan current and future fleet requirements.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines, while
handling multiple tasks.
Excellent leadership and customer experience skills.
knowledge of principles and practices of management, budgeting, and cost
control.
Skill in conducting cost-effective procurement, resource utilization, budget,
and project cost analysis.
Proficiency in English language (Arabic) would be an added value.
Customer-service oriented.
Excellent Computer skills, Operating systems, Microsoft Office suite and
others.
