Job Description

  1. Ensure every project requirements are strictly followed by shop.
  2. Follow the job ITP / QP requirements.
  3. Establish new procedures, new methods where needed and get approval.
  4. Suggest (or) Develop new and better fixtures.
  5. Thorough knowledge of engineering structural drawing, Erection drawing produced on Auto cad, BOCAD.
  6. To perform inspection wherever needed or as directed by the supervisor, inclusive of subcontract.
  7. Capable of reporting, issuing & closing of nonconformance reports.
  8. Knowledge of SAP, AWS D1.1, SSPC, MBMA, AISC tolerances.
  9. Liaise with the Shop Foreman and/or workers of the respective production areas for all quality matters.
  10. Recommendation of corrective and preventive actions.
  11. Coordination with shop
  12. Attend client / third party inspector for the material inspection.

  6. Monitoring and control of subcontractors coating jobs, inspection done as per code requirements.
  7. Receipt Inspection, In-process and Final Inspection of finished /semi-finished product.

.8. Daily reporting to QC Supervisor on all inspection activities.

9. Making sure that the handling damages fit up, individual dimensions are as per drawing & code.

10. Preparation of daily inspection documents on special jobs as required.

11.Coordination with customer technical representative (TPI) & understand their minimum requirements
