Sr. Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage in and monitor operations and various aspects of maintenance, repair and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
• Oversee work order process from request to completion.
• Develop MEP job plans and maintenance checklists and ensure consistent and high-quality results.
• Establish and implement maintenance schedules, including routine checks, servicing and overhauls to prevent breakdowns and optimize equipment performance.
• Monitor asset condition and functionality and ensure asset performance is up to standards.
• Develop, schedule and regularly review MEP preventive maintenance program to ensure minimal breakdown and address issues that arise during operation and take charge of resolution.
• Oversee and track AMCs and procurement of spare parts and consumables.
• Supervise and lead inhouse and external teams involved in MEP systems, providing guidance, and coordinating support for seamless MEP services, ensuring quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Review, evaluate and advice the MEP trouble shooting and corrective maintenance requirements and actions

Responsibilities 2

• Oversee inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities and ensure availability of critical components to minimize downtime.
• Validate electrical drawings and works executed on-site for projects as required.
• Prepare cost estimate and relevant BOQ for MEP works.
• Communicate and attend required meetings with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors and MEP service providers.
• Regular site visits to assess, evaluate and audit the MEP operation and maintenance performance.
• Stay updated with advancements in MEP technology, codes, and best practices.
• Implement improvements to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and performance of MEP systems

Responsibilities 3

• Evaluate the need for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance performance, energy efficiency or compliance with evolving standards.
• Review and monitor HSE measures implemented by maintenance team and MEP service providers.
• Conduct team performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Ensure staff compliance with desired appearance, behavior and adherence to HSE regulations.
• Develop and oversee technical and safety training program for maintenance team.
• Understand and assist in preparing budgets and cost estimates for MEP components. Monitor expenses, control costs and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Follow up on customer feedback and take corrective actions to meet expectations.

Job Summary

Provide support to maintenance assistant manager on the day to day maintenance tasks and projects as well.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
