Job Overview:


The Faculty Member in Sociology and Humanities will be responsible for teaching, research, and service activities within the department. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic growth of students, foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Sociology, Anthropology, Humanities, and related fields.
  • Develop, revise, and assess curriculum to maintain academic standards.
  • Conduct research and contribute to scholarly activities in Sociology and Humanities.
  • Advise and mentor students on their academic and career growth.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and university-wide initiatives.
  • Engage in service activities to support the department and institution.

Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • Ph.D. in Sociology, Anthropology, Humanities, or a closely related discipline (preferred).
    • Master's degree with significant teaching and professional experience may be considered.
  • Experience:
    • Proven excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Sociology and Humanities.
    • A record of research or professional achievements in the field.
    • Familiarity with American higher education systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to integrate diverse perspectives into teaching and research.
    • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and multicultural learning environment.
