To lead a team of Design Engineers to develop designs from job specifications in accordance with international
engineering standards and codes of practice.
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To lead and manage a team of professional Design Engineers.
2. To develop designs from project specifications.
3. To allocate, prioritise and check work of a team of Design Engineers.
4. To check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender.
5. To prepare and check material data sheets and material take off reports.
6. To document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design &
validation reports from Project Engineers.
7. To incorporate feed back from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the
development and construction project phases.

ABJ FABRICATION WORKSHOP
Education, Skills and Experience (Structural)
Essential:
Knowledge of using design / Drafting software like, STADD PRO, ANSYS, TEKLA STRUCTURES, AUTO
CADD.
Ensuring that technical documents are properly checked, reviewed according to client and project requirement.
Education, Skills and Experience (Static Equipment)
Essential:
Shall have strong knowledge in elasticity and plasticity, strength of material, behaviour of material, failure
theories and fatigue analysis.
Shall have strong working knowledge of engineering discipline specific software such as, but not limited to,
Compress, PV Elite, CodeCalc, Nozzle Pro & AutoCAD.
Thorough understanding of Engineering standards, such as, but not limited to, ASME, ASTM, PD5500, API,
TEMA & EJMA.
Desirable:
Knowledge in 3D modelling software and finite element analysis software is preferable, such as, but not limited
to, Ansys & Solid works.
