Job Description
A Sales Associate/Senior Sales Associate at the following key responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product recommendations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist with fitting and help customers find the right size and style in footwear and apparel.
- Handle customer queries, resolve complaints, and provide solutions to enhance satisfaction.
2. Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on the latest footwear trends, product lines, and brand offerings.
- Provide customers with detailed information about product features, benefits, and materials.
- Promote new arrivals, seasonal collections, and exclusive products to drive sales.
3. Sales Targets:
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Actively engage in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
- Encourage loyalty programs, special promotions, and discounts to boost sales.
4. Stock and Inventory Management:
- Ensure product availability by monitoring stock levels on the sales floor and replenishing as needed.
- Assist with stock organization, merchandising, and visual displays to maintain an attractive store layout.
- Conduct stock checks, assist with inventory audits, and report any stock discrepancies.
5. Cash Handling and Transactions:
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, card payments, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
- Manage returns and exchanges in accordance with store policy.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with the store team to meet store goals and maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
7. Brand Representation:
- Promote JD Sports’ brand image by providing professional and friendly service.
- Represent the brand’s values, ethos, and culture, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints.
