The RoleThe role Sales Account Executive is a Senior role in the Aspen Technology Sales group and is responsible for selling software licenses and consulting services directly to assigned customer accounts.
Your Impact- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota.
- Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development.
- Manage day to day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources.
- Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
- Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams.
- Work as a team member on sales efforts involving global account opportunities.
- Develop and maintain customer contacts at assigned accounts.
- Proven experience using subsurface geomodelling software for static modelling of reservoirs (O&G, Geothermal, CCS or Upstream related applications).
What You'll Need
- Chemical Engineering or relevant technical degree.
- University degree preferred.
- Extensive experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.
- Demonstrated track record in successful direct sales of software solutions.
- Significant experience leading multimillion dollar sales campaigns.
- Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Personal computer literacy.
- Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision.
- Specific industry knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with Aspen or similar products
- International company experience
