About the Job:
To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of disease under the scope of care of the related specialty.
Responsibilities:
Assessment, care, and treatment of patients presenting acutely to the specialty and formulating treatment decisions, seeking advice from the consultant/specialist as appropriate.
Conduct regular thorough examinations on new-borns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development.
Prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration.
Responsible for monitoring the patients' condition and progress and re-evaluate and treat the patient accordingly.
Prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities.
Identifying and refer Trauma patients to the required specialty.
Advise parents on children’s diet, exercise, and disease preventive measures.
Keep updated records of patients’ illnesses, surgeries, or other medical episodes
Responsible for identifying and appropriately transferring all the Medico-Legal Cases on time with all the proper documentation and information to the hospital management as per the hospital policy.
Responsible for initial assessment requesting investigation, analysing the rest results, diagnosis, treatment, and re-assessment on follow-up.
Participation in Registrar on call Rota and to provide cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues’ absence. Although a timetable will be provided, you will be expected to be flexible, in the interest of patients care and to meet the needs of the department as decided by the HOD and CMO.
Will be On-Call as per hospital policy, as needed and will assume the duties of Coordinator of Department.
Education:
Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master Degree in the Specialty.
All these medical educations must be from the Universities approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait.
