To provide Dermatology services for diagnosing and managing disease under the scope of care of the Dermatology specialty.
Responsibilities:
Examine patients with skin conditions and overview the progress of dermatological treatments in the outpatient clinics.
Evaluate patients’ skin condition.
Analyze all information regarding skin health conditions.
Educate patients on preventive skin care.
Advising on treatments and prescribing medication
Conducting non-invasive surgical procedures
Undertake clinical responsibilities as directed by the Consultant.
Refer patients to other specialists when indicated.
Identify potential risks of previous treatment and procedure and their interaction/complications and manage them accordingly.
Completes all required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements.
Coordinates follow-up visits with patients and monitor health condition after treatment or procedure.
Provide effective communication between all members of the multidisciplinary team caregivers.
Ensures a safe environment for staff and patients.
To adhere to Hospital Policies and Procedures i.e., JCI, Code Blue, Infection control, and working hours
Assist in covering for unexpected absences.
Participation in Registrar on-call Rota and cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues’ absence. Although a timetable will be provided, you will be expected to be flexible, in the interest of patient care and to meet the needs of the department as decided by the HOD and CMO.
Experience:
A minimum of year Post Masters experience. Desirable experience 3 years post obtaining highest degree
