Position Overview:
AIU is looking for a skilled Oracle Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain the university’s Oracle database systems while designing custom applications. This hybrid role requires a professional adept at both database administration and development to ensure optimal performance, security, and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure reliability and security.
- Develop and implement efficient database solutions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Perform database tuning and optimization to maintain performance standards.
- Design, develop, and test Oracle-based applications to meet business requirements.
- Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard institutional data.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and end-users to integrate databases with existing applications.
- Document all database structures, configurations, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA and Developer with expertise in database administration and development.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle tools such as RMAN and Data Pump.
- Experience with database security protocols and backup/recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with Oracle APEX, Forms, and Reports is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Database Management, or a related field.
