Marketing Officer (Local Contract)


Job Summary


The Marketing Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of marketing strategies aimed at driving brand awareness, increasing student enrollments and customer engagement, and growing the organisation’s presence across various channels. This position involves coordinating marketing efforts, creating compelling content for social media, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities 


  • Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing strategies to boost brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Assist in managing daily marketing operations and supporting the marketing manager with various tasks.
  • Create original, engaging content for social media channels, including text, photos, videos, and news updates.
  • Design and implement social media strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Monitor social media accounts' performance, track web traffic, and analyze metrics using SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Prepare marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and other promotional content, ensuring consistent distribution across platforms.
  • Organize and participate in promotional activities and marketing events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams, which include designers, to enhance marketing initiatives and maximize reach.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for growth.
  • Track, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including return on investment (ROI).
  • Engage with followers on social media, respond to queries and manage online reviews in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest marketing and social media trends, tools, and best practices.

About You


  • Proven experience in a marketing role, with a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Proficiency in social media management (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc) , including content creation and scheduling.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and social media tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a creative flair for writing and developing content.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with marketing software (e.g., CRM systems).
  • Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and provide insights to improve marketing efforts.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving
Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in content management and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels and familiarity with web design principles.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver engaging content across text, image, and video formats.

Safeguarding


Prospective candidates should submit the details of at least two previous employers as referees which must be their two most recent employers, covering a minimum of four years of employment, or all of their employment if the candidate has less than four years of experience.


If a candidate has only one previous employer, two references can be provided from the same employer.


For candidates in a school where the line manager is providing a reference, the reference must be countersigned by the Head Teacher or Principal.


All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced criminal background check and must provide a detailed residential history for the last ten (10) years.
