Job Description

The Junior Accountant/Cashier position at our esteemed Primary, Prep, & Secondary School in Salwa, Kuwait, is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow their careers in finance and accounting. This role is ideal for those who have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail. As a Junior Accountant/Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the institution. You will work closely with senior accountants and administrative staff, gaining valuable experience in the educational sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process daily financial transactions, including tuition payments and other fees.
  2. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with school policies.
  3. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and budgets.
  4. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  5. Support the senior accountant in audits and financial reviews.
  6. Handle cash management and ensure secure handling of cash and checks.
  7. Respond to inquiries from parents and staff regarding financial matters.
  8. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  9. Participate in training sessions to enhance accounting skills.
  10. Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.
