Identify and evaluate potential new investments across the different asset classes
Perform market research and competitive analysis on a macro and micro level
Asses market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies/ opportunities.
Monitor all existing investments in the portfolio and draw conclusions
Prepare investment memos and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities
Help in the development of an investment policy aligned with the investment strategy
Assist in the implementation of the approved investment strategy that meets the company's return goals and financial needs
Perform financial and technical due diligence and analysis on prospective projects and recommend an investment decision
Manage the process of deal documentation, legal review, and financial administration
Create financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning
Skills
The job holder must have:
A BS degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
A master's degree in business or finance or a CFA level certification will be an added advantage
At least three to five years' experience in the field of finance and investment
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent research and writing abilities
Thorough understanding of financial analysis and investment strategy
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
