Job Description

The HVAC Construction Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is essential for ensuring that buildings maintain optimal indoor air quality and comfort levels. The HVAC Engineer will work closely with other engineers and technicians to develop efficient systems that meet the specific needs of each project. With a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency, the HVAC Engineer will also be responsible for implementing innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop HVAC systems for various types of buildings.
  2. Conduct load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements.
  3. Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  4. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
  5. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  6. Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
  7. Prepare technical documentation and reports related to HVAC projects.
  8. Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technicians.
  9. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  10. Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends.

  • Designing HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling needs, selecting appropriate equipment, and detailing system specifications using international and Local standards as ASHRAE, SMACNA, MEW, KFD, etc..
  • Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and construction project disciplines to integrate and optimize HVAC systems in building designs.
  • Follow up with suppliers and procurement
  • Conducting and supervising installations and ensuring conformity with engineering designs and standards.
  • Performing and overseeing regular maintenance and repairs to prevent system failures and extend the lifespan of HVAC units.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to air quality, system inefficiencies, and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Preparing technical documentation and system reports for compliance and maintenance records.
  • Commissioning and Testing: Experience in commissioning HVAC systems, including balancing airflow, testing system functionality, and ensuring proper operation after installation.
  • Project Documentation & Budget Management: Experience in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimation, and managing HVAC project budgets.
  • Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of local and international safety regulations and building codes specific to HVAC systems.


  • Education: BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • KSE Approval is required.
  • KFD approval is required.
  • Recommendation:
  • Experience in KOC projects. (PREFFERED)
  • Knowledge in Construction and project management (PMP certificate is highly recommended)
  • Have minimum experience in handling Plumbing works.
