Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, administrative tasks, and recruitment support. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting HR operations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This position is essential for maintaining a positive workplace culture and ensuring smooth execution of payroll and HR functions. The HR Officer will also contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process payroll activities accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with Kuwait labor laws regarding wages, benefits, and deductions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of employee records, contracts, and compensation details, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Handle documentation related to employee attendance, leaves, and end-of-service benefits in accordance with company policies.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, shortlisting candidates, and onboarding new hires.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll and HR reports, analyzing data to inform management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with Kuwait labor laws and company policies, conducting regular audits of payroll practices.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll expenses and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention strategies and workplace satisfaction.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Currently residing in Kuwait with a strong understanding of the local job market.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and HR administration, with knowledge of local labor laws and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Arabic language proficiency is an added advantage, enhancing communication with diverse employee groups.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on HR trends.
  • Experience in employee engagement initiatives and fostering a positive workplace culture.
