Job Description

  • University Degree in Computer / Electronics Engineering / Science / Information Technology.
  • CCNP — Cisco certified (Routing & Switching).


  •  Good knowledge of networking and internetworking technologies such as ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, Intranets, routing protocols, VLANs, IP Telephony and different communications solutions.
  • Good knowledge on Cisco security devices & technologies such as Identity Management, End-point security, firewalls.
  • Good knowledge of networking on cloud infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of DR processes & procedures.
  • Awareness of future network technologies such as SDN, SD-WAN and Cloud services such as Azure & Oracle Cloud.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in solving LAN/WAN incidents.
  • Shall be dynamic and update his knowledge of server, hardware/software continuously through further reading and courses organized by contractor.
  • Fluent in English.


  • Good interpersonal skills.


Skills

  • Install and configure network hardware and software.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, install and upgrade LAN and WAN communication systems, which include hardware, software, access methods, VPN and Protocols, Basic IP Telephony.
  • Plan and monitor installation of network & communication circuits.
  • Generate network monitoring/performance reports for LAN/WAN utilization.
  • Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance.
  • Following up on the incidents and ensuring that they will be solved according to the service levels.
  • Any changes to the LAN and server environment, policies and procedures, security or disaster recovery must be discussed with the KPC Superintendent's Representative and shall not be implemented without the written authority from the Corporation.
  • Responsible for reporting and security incident violation related to the services.
  • Maintain any disaster recovery plans as might be agreed between the parties.
