Job Description

The Fit-Out Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry, particularly in the fit-out phase of projects. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in managing and executing fit-out projects, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on interior fit-outs, and will be responsible for overseeing the entire process from planning to execution. The role demands a keen eye for detail, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all fit-out projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  2. Collaborate with architects, designers, and subcontractors to ensure that the fit-out meets design specifications and quality standards.
  3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  4. Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.
  5. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment necessary for the fit-out.
  6. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process in a timely manner.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site personnel.
  8. Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  9. Maintain effective communication with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
  10. Implement best practices in project management and construction methodologies to enhance efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in fit-out civil engineering or related fields.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and legal regulations.
  3. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  8. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  9. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
  10. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
