About the job Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Our client in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager/Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead their financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions. This key role will drive financial performance, provide strategic insights, and support the company's growth and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the FMCG industry and a proven track record in leading FP&A teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all FP&A activities, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, delivering comprehensive financial and operational performance insights to senior management.
- Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with market conditions.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.
- Collaborate with department heads and subsidiary managers to provide financial guidance for key business decisions.
- Continuously optimize FP&A processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight generation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Work with senior leadership to develop long-term financial models and strategies that support growth and transformation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance (required); MBA, MSc in Finance, or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and financial planning software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting financial reports to senior management.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of FMCG industry dynamics, market trends, and key business drivers.
- Proficiency in English (required); Arabic (preferred).
