Finance and Operations Director

The position

Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager for Gulf Cluster (Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen), you will be a member of the Leadership Team and be jointly accountable for the Cluster’s results. You will be accountable for providing the support to Vice President and General Manager, within the financial area and overall business. You will have a dotted reporting line to the Senior Finance & Operations Director of Business Area Middle East, Africa and CIS (BAMEAC),

• You will be accountable for accounting, finance, treasury and tax, ensuring the provision of financial information and necessary support for decision-making.
• You will initiate and implement policies and processes to enhance the financial performance of the company in accordance with strategic objectives.

• You will also be accountable for the management and oversight of the Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Digital Data & IT and Customer Excellence & Business Insights functions.
• You will ensure optimal working of and investments in IT solutions. You will oversee Procurement functions and support sourcing activities in line with the targets of the affiliate.

Qualifications

• You hold a university degree in Finance or Business Administration or other relevant area with 10 years of experience in Finance, including in leadership position, from a multinational corporation.
• You have experience in budget procedures, financial analysis, and knowledge of local tax. A good grasp of legal contracts, compliance matters and ability to realize commercial challenges and insights will be preferred.
• We expect our candidates to be able to communicate effectively in English, discuss strategies in a way that impacts key stakeholders and able to build relationships.
• You are experienced with managing others, coaching, and giving feedback.

About the department

Gulf Cluster was established in 2019 covering the countries,
Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen. The Head Office is based in Kuwait. Gulf Cluster is a part of the Business Area Africa, Middle East & CIS Countries (BAMEAC), in Region South East Europe, Middle East & Africa (SEEMEA) and has shown significant growth year by year. It is a fast growing and dynamic cluster aiming to cement Novo Nordisk’s position in our markets.

You will lead the Finance and Operations department (a team of 6 members) that is providing multidimensional aid in financial insights and Business Analytics for all business units while ensuring finance house is to drive excellence across the organization and supp the digital transformation agenda.
