Job Description
Facility Maintenance & Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, and medical gas).
- Monitor and improve the performance of building management systems (BMS).
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all facility operations comply with local and international safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to prevent hazards.
- Maintain fire safety equipment and conduct routine safety inspections.
- Ensure medical gas systems are maintained as per hospital standards.
Energy Management & Cost Control:
- Optimize energy consumption and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Monitor HVAC performance and adjust systems for energy efficiency.
- Identify areas for reducing operational costs without compromising service quality.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Oversee third-party maintenance contracts and evaluate vendor performance.
- Ensure timely execution of service agreements and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in negotiating service contracts for facility-related needs.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
- Prepare reports on facility operations, safety compliance, and equipment performance.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility systems.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for power failures, floods, and fires.
- Train staff on emergency protocols and response strategies.
- Ensure backup power systems (generators, UPS) are tested and operational.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
