Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Estimation Manager to lead our tendering efforts for projects across the oil & gas, power, and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, have strong analytical skills, network of vendors and subcontractors, and possess hands-on experience with modern estimation tools and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end estimation and bid preparation process for EPC, maintenance, and construction and maintenance projects.
- Review tender documents and RFQs to develop winning bid strategies.
- Analyze costs, materials, labor, and subcontractor rates to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
- Negotiate and finalize vendor and subcontractor pricing to enhance bid competitiveness.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to optimize project costs and margins.
- Maintain and update a database of costs, suppliers, and historical project data.
- Present bid strategies and final submissions to senior leadership.
- Monitor industry trends, client requirements, and market pricing benchmarks.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, or proposal management in the energy, oil & gas, or power construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of current estimation and bidding software/platforms (e.g., Candy, CCS, PlanSwift, CostOS, Oracle Primavera).
- Proven ability to create innovative and cost-effective bids.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiar with local and international tendering practices and procurement models (FIDIC, EPC, etc.).
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary construction and maintenance projects is a must.
