About the job Engineer - Planning & Budgeting
A leading FMCG company based in Kuwait is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer - Planning & Budgeting to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in managing and supporting critical business systems, driving budgeting and planning efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with IT and security standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize system performance, test programs in controlled environments, and ensure smooth deployment to production environments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for business systems, collaborating with service providers and resolving issues arising from user interactions.
- Create and update documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and meeting notes, to ensure clarity and consistency in business systems and processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IT security protocols and monitoring potential security risks to maintain a secure operational environment.
- Work collaboratively with global team members, from developers to management, ensuring seamless communication across multiple time zones.
- Translate business requirements into system configurations and technical setups, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Conducts systems analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues arising from system interactions.
- Implement and promote best practices for information security across all operations to safeguard company data and resources.
- Step in to support colleagues when necessary, assist with cross-training efforts, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all operations and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering, preferably with certifications in software development (Smart View, Financial Reporting, Cloud Migration, Hyperion, FDMEE, Essbase).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including Oracle Hyperion application support, business rule maintenance, and financial planning.
- SQL knowledge is a plus, and familiarity with business rules maintenance, Groovy Scripts, and Calculation scripts is required.
- Knowledge on operation of Smart view in Excel, ability to use Adhoc grids to troubleshoot data related issues and Operations support for Oracle Hyperion, Planning and Budgeting applications
- Knowledge in Metadata maintenance
- Knowledge in Essbase database & backup recovery
- Good knowledge in Smart view installation on End User desktops
- Good knowledge in Troubleshoot and support EPM applications on End user desktops, related to browser and Excel Add-in
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong analytical thinking, process orientation, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective teamwork, time management, and communication abilities.
