Job Description

The Programming and Automation Engineer will work in the company's projects department supporting the programming/commissioning efforts on all customer projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for programming, testing, and commissioning automation systems
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines in a timely manner
  • Work on-site and off-site at customer locations on various projects.
  • Work on high-stakes projects with tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with other engineers and electricians on various projects with the end goal of successful completion of projects
  • Effectively communicate with customers to assess customer needs/convey technical solutions
  • Report to Factory Manager

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Testing and Commissioning of Low-Voltage Panels
  • VFD and Speed Drive Programming
  • Soft Starter programming
  • PLC programming (knowledge of Ladder Logic and different PLC programming languages)
  • HMI unit programming with automation
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
  • Experience in synchronizing panel with module setting and commissioning on-site
  • Experience in ATS panel wiring and operation
  • Experience in Sensor Calibration
  • Experience in electrical panel wiring
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests
  • Autonomous problem-solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player
